My SIL is second clarinet at the MET Opera (not to brag) and the whole community has got to be feeling the loss today. We should call her tonight. Something about talking to her older brother seems to make Jess's day. He doesn't notice, but I do.

It is so sad he was knocked down before his time. 71 isn't young, but it just seems too young when he had lots of voice left.
